Hypogymnia

This lichen is leaf-like with grayish-green coloration on top and is black below. It can be confused with Parmelia, but Hypogymnia has hollow, tube-like lobes. Hypogymnia is usually found on conifers (needle-leaf trees) and sometimes rocks.
